Biography and additional information. George Lee (American, born 1983 in Boston, MA) lives and works in the San Francisco Bay Area. Inspired by healing through ecological and cultural wonder, George works with communities and his team to sculpt immersive large-scale, site-integrated installations. Geometry, interconnection and the place’s cultures are often central to the work.

George Lee is a sculptor and land artist from New England who currently resides in estuarine Benicia, California. In 2013, he graduated with a Masters in Landscape Architecture before additional study at the Pratt Fine Arts Center in Seattle, WA. George likes to watch plants grow, listen to culture, and meld durable materials with sites to create magical places. He currently has a hunch insects are the mycorrhizae of the air, and is one step away from eating his garden soil as a DIY probiotic experiment.
